WELCOME

My name is Nichola Turpin and this is my portfolio website. Within these pages you'll find work that I've done during my time at university and some information about myself. I will update the site when I have new work or information to add.

I graduated from the University of Teesside in 2007, where I achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Post-Production and Visual Effects. Since then I have completed Visual Effects for Film and Compositing with Shake online courses through the CGSociety.org.

I joined Double Negative as an HR Administrator in May 2008, at the end of Hellboy II and The Dark Knight, and in August became a Rotoscope Artist when a space became available. My IMDB profile details all the films I've worked on and I am looking forward to seeing my name in the credits for the first time!

The role of the compositor appeals to me most as they are responsible for bringing everything together, creating the finished piece and are one of the last people to work on a shot. My passion is film, however I am happy to work in games, TV or commercials as well. I moved to London about a year ago to start work at Double Negative and I'm still not qite sure I believe it's happened!
